Christelle Scifo spent her former years studying ballet in Paris, so it comes as no surprise that she knows how to make flowers dance. This season, our lookbook features one of her sculptural carnation arrangements, and for our sustainable swimwear presentation in Sydney, we collaborated on still life arrangements that used flowers and litter as a conversation starter for circularity and design. With our mutual love for organic cotton, we launched the process of a collaboration to sit alongside our first collection of sustainable swimwear. Nadia Reid is a singer-songwriter from Dunedin, New Zealand who has made a lasting impression on international audiences. Over the past year, she was named as a finalist for the 2017 APRA Silver Scroll Award, was nominated for the Taite Music Prize, and performed live on the BBC television show 'Later... with Jools Holland'. Nadia is humble, gracious and writes music that is intuitive and evocative. She recently played one of her last shows of the year in our Wellington flagship store. Tokyo-born Yuka O’Shannessy is dedicated to connecting people and craft. As one of the founders of An Astute Assembly, she shares work by local and international artisans and teaches traditional techniques that help preserve goods for life. Recently, Yuka led our Kintsugi workshop in Auckland. Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese technique of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted with powdered gold.
