Founded by Gosia Piatek in 2006, Kowtow is a seed-to-garment brand from Wellington, New Zealand. All of our garments are made naturally from a single fibre, Fairtrade organic cotton.

At Kowtow our vision is to create clothing that can return to the earth without harm. The Role and what you will bring

The Production Development Coordinator position calls for someone with exceptional time management, a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management within the fashion industry and garment construction. Reporting to the Senior Production and Supply Chain Manager, you will proactively manage the communication and execution of design and product developments through internal and external parties while supporting the product team with everything from sampling, production critical path reporting and factory sample management. This is a role for a natural multi-tasker and great communicator who wants to make a real-world impact and be part of the slow fashion movement.


The Primary Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage the communication and execution of design and product developments to ensure our collections move seamlessly through every stage of the process, meeting all critical deadlines.

  • Schedule and execute tech packs and prepare supporting samples for factory submission, ensuring clarity and adherence to our calendar.

  • Support the Senior Production and Supply Chain Manager and wider product team with insightful reporting on sampling progress and production critical paths, and contribute to the meaningful work behind our customer repair and regenerate programmes.

  • Manage the administration of factory samples with precision, overseeing setup, tracking, receiving, and recording to keep our production flow on track.

  • Manage external quality control testing and collaborate with third-party auditors to ensure alignment with the production schedule.



Your Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years experience in fashion production or supply chain role

  • Experience communicating with offshore manufacturers and building positive relationships

  • Strong understanding of garment construction, materials, and manufacturing processes

  • Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills

  • Resourceful and proactive, with proven ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment

  • Mac literate, and experienced with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Suite
