Better garment care enhances and supports a circular approach to fashion. The correct care processes can extend the life of your clothing.
WASHING
All woven items are best washed on a cool cycle (30 degrees Celsius or below) with dark colours separated from lights to avoid colour bleeding.
Never soak or bleach woven items and ensure you check the temperature on preset cotton cycles, as this is often set higher than it needs to be.
IRONING
The amount of ironing required can be reduced by drying on a hanger, and flattening out your garment as much as possible when wet. Drying in the shade is always recommended for optimum colour fastness.
Kowtow woven pieces such as shirts, dresses, and pants are made from non-stretch organic cotton which is easily machine washable. Organic cotton is a natural fibre that can tighten up and crinkle after a wash, to help bring it back to life, warm iron on the reverse with a generous puff of steam.
New Kowtow garments are completely plastic-free so features like fused collars and seams will also benefit from a steam iron to relax the organic cotton construction.
